How Nicole Liloia Adapted to a Changing Market and Strengthened Her Revenue
When you've been in business for more than a decade, you expect things to get easier as you go. You've built an audience, refined your offers, and know how to launch.
You just know what works. Until one day… it just doesn't.
That was the position Nicole Liloia, a business consultant and strategist, found herself in before joining the Paid & Peaceful Mastermind.
As Nicole explains, “I’d had a great year in 2023, but in 2024 things just slowed down. Nothing was working quite the same way and I had to work harder to hit the same numbers..”
Like many experienced business owners, Nicole wasn’t looking for a course or generic marketing framework, she needed someone to look at her business, identify what had changed, and help her adapt.
“I was looking for help with growing my audience, getting more engagement and driving conversions.”
Before joining the mastermind, Nicole had been following Maggie and her work online for years. What finally convinced her to join was how the mastermind included both the community with personalized 1:1 feedback.
“I really wanted someone to figure out what was going on in my business. I knew I needed someone who could tell me where the leaks were, where the gaps were, and what could be cleaned up.”
Creating Space Without Losing Momentum
One of the biggest changes Nicole made inside the mastermind wasn't adding something new; it was doing less.
With Maggie's guidance, she completely restructured her flagship mastermind.
“She helped me switch my mastermind from six months to ten months so that I only had to do one launch per year instead of two.”
That decision made a big impact across her entire business.
“Only launching once a year saved me so much time and money. It meant I didn't have to work as many hours, especially during the summer, and I didn't need as many leads. The best part was I had my income booked out for the year starting in January.”
A Strategic Reset for Today's Market
While in the mastermind, Nicole realized that some of the strategies she'd relied on for years simply weren't the right fit for today's market. She stepped back and re-evaluated what her clients actually needed and how they wanted to buy and receive support.
That process started with updated market research.
“I've done updated market research, used those insights to refine my programs, and made sure they reflect what people actually need right now, and how they want to work.”
Those insights led Nicole to make several meaningful changes including:
- Offering more asynchronous support instead of relying so heavily on live calls,
- Refining her packages to better reflect what clients wanted
- Retiring offers that were no longer serving her business.
- Experimenting with new offers that better matched what people were looking for.
“Before the mastermind, I was doing four big launches a year and some little ones in between. I don’t have to do that any more. Maggie has helped me figure out how to sell less without sacrificing my revenue. With the changes I’ve made to the mastermind, my revenue from that program is back up.”
Reclaiming Her Time with Better Boundaries
One of the biggest wins over the last two years has been Nicole creating better boundaries around her work.
“All of these structural changes mean I work less. I don't work weekends anywhere near as much anymore. I'm able to cut my work time off better and just be done for the day.”
Nicole now questions the habits that had quietly become automatic. Instead of simply working more,
“It’s so easy to slip into this kind of robot mode. You're just doing the same stuff without really assessing if it's still necessary. Maggie made me question what I was doing and why I was doing it.”
Someone Who Knows You and Your Business
For Nicole, one of the biggest differences between the mastermind and other programs has been the high quality of the feedback, which she feels has become incredibly rare.
“I appreciate that Maggie's specific with the feedback about your business; nothing is general. There's just not a lot of consultants anymore that really look at your business, your personality, and your audience and work to understand all of those and make them aligned.”
Rather than prescribing the same strategy to everyone, Maggie helps members build businesses that fit their strengths, goals, and clients.
“I want to stress the level of personalized support I’ve received in this mastermind. She's not giving everyone in the group the same strategies. It really is based on what each person needs.”
The mastermind community has been a key part of Nicole's experience.
“I love knowing what other business owners are going through.”
Nicole values hearing the questions other members ask, getting trusted feedback, and having a private place where experienced business owners can work through challenges together.
“It's nice to post in the Slack community and get feedback from multiple people at one time. You know they're vetted. It's hard to find a community like that.”
The Real Return on Investment for Nicole
The biggest transformation wasn't just a simpler business; it’s Nicole’s day-to-day running of the business.
“I feel more confident. I feel less stressed. I don't overthink things so much. I'm able to have a plan for my next steps more quickly.”
Instead of forcing strategies that aren't working, Nicole now pivots sooner, simplifies faster, and focuses her energy where it has the biggest impact.
After more than 13 years in business, that's exactly what she was looking for.
“You get to the point where you really want more space from your business, and I don't know that I would have been taking that, or known how to balance that, without Maggie's guidance and support.”
When asked why the mastermind has made such a difference, Nicole didn't talk about tactics or revenue.
“It’s really important, at the level our businesses are at, to have that long-term support and someone who really understands us. Maggie is that person, and the people in her community create an even better experience.”
