Your Easy Yes in Action

You’re making your Easy Yes harder than it needs to be.Not because you’re doing anything wrong. But because the natural reaction is to try to do more when your capacity is already maxed out.

But if “do more” was a strategy, we’d not be having this conversation.

The truth is, there’s a mismatch between your capacity and the generic “just do more” business advice that makes fixing the problems that matter way harder than they need to be.

In this episode, I’m unpacking why this is happening, and what to fix so your business becomes an easy yes for the right clients… and doesn’t feel like a no for you.

Welcome back to the Easy Yes Energy series, and today, we’re wrapping it up with how to put your easy yes into action.

Over the last few episodes, I’ve talked about the different places your Easy Yes can break down, how you talk about the problem, how you position yourself, how your offers work, and how people actually move toward a decision.

But if we simplify all of that, the real problem is this:

It’s too hard for someone to say yes to working with you.

You’re an incredibly talented and experienced solo service business owner. But none of that matters if you struggle to book clients. You need to be able to book clients so you can get paid, period.

I want you to know you haven’t done anything wrong.

As I’ve said throughout this series, the market has changed, and so much of what used to work just doesn’t work anymore.

When you combine that with all the generic advice that isn’t built for solo service business owners, like be more visible, be everywhere, just be consistent, it makes sense that you feel overwhelmed and unsure what to focus on.

Because you’ve been given more to do, not a better way to do it, and you don’t have unlimited time or energy to throw at your business.

You have client work. You have responsibilities. You have a life.

Plus, you’re likely navigating how the reality of how your body and brain work, whether that’s being neurodivergent, battling burnout, dealing with decision fatigue, or just the reality of being a human who cannot (and should not) operate at full capacity 24/7.

Doing more doesn’t fix the real issue:

  • More marketing does not fix something that’s hard to say yes to.
  • If your positioning is unclear, more visibility just means more people being confused.
  • If your offer feels vague or risky, more marketing just means more people hesitating.
  • If there’s no clear next step, more attention just leads to more people sitting in “this sounds great” mode without taking any action.

There’s no way to fix your Easy Yes Energy by simply doing more, especially when you don’t have the capacity for that to begin with. And as much as you want your business to be an easy yes for your clients, it needs to be one for you, too.

What Your Easy Yes Actually Looks Like

So let’s talk about what Easy Yes Energy looks like when it is working.

It’s about making things simpler, for you and for your clients.

When your Easy Yes is working, the right person sees your work and immediately recognizes themselves in it. There’s no mental gymnastics. No trying to figure out if this applies to them.

They trust you before you ever talk to them, not because you’ve convinced them, but because it’s clear in how you show up.

Your offer feels defined and manageable. It feels like a smart next step, not something they’ll have to overthink or regret, and they’re ready to say yes.

And this matters just as much for you as it does for them.

When your Easy Yes is working, you’re not constantly chasing, explaining, or overextending yourself trying to make things land. You’re not burning energy on people who were never going to decide.

You’re not stuck in that exhausting loop of “almost.” It creates space. And when your capacity is limited, that matters.

Why You Can’t Fix This on Your Own

Now let’s be real about something. This isn’t easy to fix on your own.

Not because you’re not smart enough or experienced enough, but because you’re too close to it.

When you’re inside your business, everything feels important. Your messaging, your offers, your marketing, your sales, it’s all connected, and that also makes it really hard to know where to start.

So you end up doing what most people do: You bounce between things, trying to fix a little bit of everything.

Or you freeze, because it feels like too damn much, because you’ve already got client deadlines. Emails. Admin. Family. Energy levels that are inconsistent day-to-day.

So even if you know something needs to change, finding the time and energy to figure it out and then implement it is a whole other challenge.

That’s why you end up stuck. You need a way to work through it in a way that fits your capacity, and that’s why I created the Squad.

Your First 30 Days Inside the Squad

This is exactly why the Staying Solo Squad is designed the way it is to help you make better use of the time and energy you already have. (And we’re open for new members through Thursday, April 23rd!)

So we start by figuring out what’s actually getting in your way. (And don’t worry, I’m not gonna tell you to change everything in your business. This isn’t a burn-it-all-down-and-start-over situation. You don’t have time or energy for that!)

What we’ll do is identify the specific points where your Easy Yes is breaking down and help you put together your Easy Yes Action Plan at our event on April 30th.

The goal is to give you a DOABLE plan that sequences everything in a way that respects your capacity.

Then we move into implementation through sprints which are designed to work with your brain, not against it.

They’re focused. They’re contained. They give you a clear starting point and a clear outcome to work toward.

  • You might spend a sprint refining how you describe what you do so  potential clients are like, “OMG, it’s me!”
  • Or tightening your positioning so you stop feeling like you have to prove yourself or worry so much about your closest competitors.
  • Or creating an Easy Yes offer so there’s a simple, low-friction way for someone to start working with you.
  • Or adjusting your marketing plan so you’re having conversations with the right people in the right places instead of doing everything. (Or not doing anything at all!)

Sprints can be done at your pace, but we’re focusing on them in a big way for the month of May, so you can get some of this handled before we’re in full-on summer mode.

And don’t worry, you won’t ever be doing it alone:

  • When you’ve got your Action Plan ready, you can share it with me in Slack.
  • If you’re not sure what your next step is, we’ll help you figure it out.
  • And we have an implementation session mid-May where you can bring your questions, and we’ll work on our sprints as a group.

I’m confident that if you jump into the Squad and work on your Easy Yes Energy, you’ll see a shift within the first 30 days. I’m not in the business of making bullshit guarantees, but I see the palpable relief of new members once they’re able to see what’s getting in their way, and what they should actually focus on.

Honestly, when it comes to Easy Yes Energy, one or two meaningful changes can quickly impact how someone experiences your business. (And will shift how you’re feeling about your business.)

Having a plan alone will free up so much energy, as you’re not carrying the mental load of “I need to figure this out.”

One of the best things about joining the Squad is that you’re never alone as a solo service business owner. You’ll be part of a community of people who get it with:

  • Monthly planning so you’re not constantly deciding what to focus on.
  • Co-working sessions so you can carve out dedicated time to actually work on your business.
  • Hot seats so you can get unstuck quickly instead of spinning for weeks.
  • And Slack support, so you’re not sitting there alone trying to figure everything out. (One of my fave things is when someone brings the group a sticky situation and we’re able to help them untangle it quickly.)

The Squad is structured, but flexible. It’s supportive, but not overwhelming. And it’s built for people who have real lives and real constraints.

You Don’t Need More, You Need Alignment

As we wrap up this series, here’s what I want you to take away.

You don’t need to be everywhere. You don’t need to do more. And you don’t need to push yourself past your capacity just to make your business work.

Easy Yes Energy is about making it easy for potential clients to say yes to you, and making sure that your business is a yes for you, too. You need your business to work within your capacity.

You need it to be clear, simple, and easy for the right people to say yes, which is harder when people are overwhelmed, distracted and cost-conscious.

But it’s something you can fix. You can decide “no one is buying,” or you can take action to make it easy for someone to choose to work with you.

So if you’re tired of doing the same things with less than awesome results, or doing it all alone, you belong in the Squad.

If you’re listening to this the week of April 20th, we’re open for new members through the 23rd. And if you’re listening to this at a different time, you can get on the waitlist for our next enrollment.

And if you’re not sure if it’s the right fit? Ask me. I’ll tell you the truth.
